The City of Henderson will present a proclamation declaring March 29, 2015 as "Vietnam Veteran's Day" in recognition of the men and women of the Armed Forces of the United States who served our nation from 1962 to 1973 during the Vietnam War.  The year 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the initial deployment of combat troops in Vietnam.   Over 3 million Americans served during the Vietnam War and more than 58,000 gave their lives. 

The proclamation will be presented to the VVA Chapter 1076 President John Scaduto and Vice President Bob Lough.  

The  City Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Henderson City Hall, 240 South Water Street. Please try to arrive by 5:45 p.m.  The City Council Meeting is open to the public.   All members and their spouses are invited to attend.
