THINGS TO NOTE FOR UPCOMING NEVADA VETERAN EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING EVENTS IN AUGUST & SEPTEMBER:
1. Registration is open for the Vegas PBS/Hiring Our Heroes Job Fair on September 17 at Cashman Center in Las Vegas: http://vegaspbs.veteranscominghome.org/all-events/ . Employers are expected to have positions available at the time of the event. Veteran employment support organizations that have training,
grants or programs to support veteran employment are encouraged to attend.
2. Carson City Health and Human Services will be hosting a hiring event on September 25 . See attached calendar or contact Lynn Ellis at 775-283-7579 for additional details.
3. The next Las Vegas Military Veteran Professionals Employment Group Veteran Networking Mixer is set for August 20 at Hyde inside the Bellagio. Must register to attend.
4. PDQ fast casual restaurant, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, in Las Vegas will be hosting a Family Fun Night in support of Vegas PBS' Veterans Initiative on August 4 between 4 pm and 9 pm. This offer is valid only at the North Las Vegas Location (Craig at Allen). A percentage of sales will be donated to Vegas PBS to benefit the Vegas PBS Workforce Training and Economic Development program specifically for veteran workforce
training. Dine with your friends and family. Help low-income veterans. It's a win-win!
Attached are flyers supporting some of the Nevada veteran employment and training events noted.
Feel free to share this information with your friends, family, and social networks. Also feel free to share local veteran events in your community.
Very Respectfully,
Annie Emprima-Martin
