Subject: Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day at Fort Irwin

Members of VVA 1076:   My United States Army has invited all Vietnam Veterans to Fort Irwin for a day of Welcome Home!  A part of the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War.

This is the fifth day they have presented this and one of the first military installations to do it.  The one I went to had about 350 Vietnam Veterans aboard motorcycles as part of the parade.

Perhaps discussion might be in order to discuss possible interest for car pooling or to go as a big group such as a chartered bus.

Please advise your other veteran organizations of this event.
