Fund Raiser Albertson's Nov 7th, 8th and 9th.

Albertsons Friday, Nov 7th 0900-1100, 1100-1400,
Close 1400 to go to meet at 1500 at the Paseo Verde Library (Green Valley Parkway and Paseo Verde) Judge Stevens will be one of several giving a presentation to the Chamber of Commerce for funds. All support welcome.

Saturday, Nov 8th, 0930 meet at Henderson Amphitheater.
City of Henderson Annual Veterans Day Ceremony, Open to all members. Lets have a showing. After volunteers to Albertsons.

Las Vegas Veterans Parade Tuesday, November 11, Meet 0700 at VFW Hall, leave to Parade by 0800. We will have
3 to 4 vehicles. Important is who will be coming and needing to ride.
Letter from our Chapter President regarding the Parade,
To All VVA Chapter 1076 Members, the Veterans Day Parade is on Tuesday November 11. The start of the parade will be at 10:00am until approximately 12:00 noon starting on Gass Street and Las Vegas blvd and ending on LV blvd and Freemont St. I need a DEFFENENT COUNT of how many VVA Chapter 1076 members and VVA Chapter 17 members will be attending the Parade ASAP . I will also need to know who will be able to walk the Parade ( App.1.5 miles) and who will not be able to walk the distance so transporting can be arranged . A meeting place to assemble for Car Pooling will be announced as soon as I get a Count on who will be attending. I have a couple opinions on how we can get too and from the Parade as a group but it will depend on the number of Veterans participating in the event. The Uniform for the Parade will be BLACK VVA 1076 shirts, black trousers, ( no jeans ) black shoes, black Vietnam Hats. All Medals and or Ribbons may also be worn. Let's be proud VVA Members so it's up to all of US to look sharp on a very special day. Chapter 17 please wear you WHITE VVA SHIRTS, THANK YOU ! Letter from our Chapter President regarding our Christmas Party,
Dear Members, A reminder! Christmas Time is near. Our annual VVA Chapter 1076 Christmas Party well held on December 7th (Pearl Harbor Day so you won't forget ) from 2:00 to 5:00 pm (please be on time or its KP duty ). The Party will be at GIUSEPPE'S Italian Restaurant / Bar & Grill 2630 W.Horizon Ridge (one block east of Eastern Ave ) 702-675-4487 ( in case you get lost ) Because our December meeting is Thursday Dec. 11th 5 days after the Christmas Party we must collect payments at our next meeting Thursday Nov. 13th. The price for the Christmas Party is $25.00 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity . Alcohol Beverage will be CASH on an individual basis. Please make checks payable to VVA CAPTER 1076 . I know some of our members still remember what personal checks look like from the OLD DAYS so please NO, NO, CASH ! And if you still can remember how to write please make the checks legible ! There will be a GIFT EXCHANGE after dinner so please bring Gifts. Ok, NOW LISTEN UP ! If you come alone you bring ONE GIFT----- if there are TWO of you, you bring TWO GIFTS . I will have a written test at the next meeting to make sure you understand the above ! The valve of your gifts is up to you, it's the thought that counts . We always have fun ! Vietnam Traveling Wall Will be in Laughlin Nov 8th through Nov 11.
Veterans Court, Nov 11th, 1400. Re-visit the Judge Stevens $3000 donation. This time the Press will be there. All welcome.
Riviera Gun Show Nov 15th and 16th. also with Chapter 17. More details later.
There will also be the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Home in Boulder City at 1330 PM, Nov 11th. The Governor will be there this year. Everyone is welcome. Bob Garlow
